Georgia Quick Start
Quick Start is Georgia's internationally acclaimed workforce development program that provides training to qualified new, expanding and existing businesses. For more than 40 years, Quick Start has provided customized workforce training free-of-charge to qualified businesses in Georgia. Today, the program is one of the state’s key assets for supporting new and expanding industries. Quick Start delivers training in classrooms, mobile labs or directly on the plant floor, wherever it works best for a company.

Recent Quick Start Clients in Gwinnett County include BioLife, a division of Baxalta and Shire.

Georgia Work Ready Certified
Designated as a Georgia Certified Work Ready community, Gwinnett County now allows businesses to take advantage of the benefits the program offers through two ways: job profiling and Work Ready Certificates. Work Ready profiles identify the tasks and skills needed for a job, while Work Ready Certificates measure a worker's core skills. Employers use the profiles to match potential employees who hold Work Ready Certificates to ensure accurate job placement.

Gwinnett County is home to more than 50 colleges and universities, including Gwinnett Technical College, Georgia Gwinnett College, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and University of Georgia Gwinnett Campus.
